The breed was built in Germany to go down a badger hole alone, and nobody told him he retired. He hears the car before you do. He announces the delivery driver like it is a national emergency. Barely taller than the mat he is standing on, and completely convinced he runs the door.

How you make it yours

Choose the coat colour that matches your dog from 15 real dachshund colours — Black & Tan, Chocolate & Cream, Silver Dapple, Chocolate Dapple, Piebald, Isabella, Wild Boar, Brindle and more. Choose his outfit — pilgrim hat, turkey costume, scarf and beanie, fall flower crown, pilgrim bonnet, or chef apron. Type his name, up to 12 characters. We email a proof within 24 hours and nothing prints until you approve it.

What you get

One 30 x 18 inch doormat, finished size approximately 29.5 x 17.5 inches, printed edge to edge

Felt-like polyester top with a non-slip black rubber backing

Printed in the USA by dye sublimation, so the colour sits in the fibres instead of on top of them and will not peel or crack

Weighs approximately 2 lb

Please read before you buy

This is a felt-topped mat, not a coir brush mat. It is made for light-duty use — a covered porch, a back door, an entryway, a sunroom. It is not built for an uncovered step that takes rain and full sun all winter. If that is your doorway, this is not your mat and we would rather say so now.

Why people buy this one

Because their dog is a chocolate dapple and nobody sells a chocolate dapple. Because the mat says his name, not a generic breed silhouette. Because there is no date printed on it, so it comes back out every autumn instead of living in a box after one November.

Order by November 13

Made to order. Printing starts once you approve your proof and takes 1 to 3 business days, then US delivery usually runs about 6 days. Order by November 13 to have it down before Thanksgiving.

Care

Shake it out or rinse with cold water and air dry. No machine washing, no bleach.

Shipping

We ship within the United States. Message us before ordering for anywhere else and we will quote it.

If something is wrong

Damaged, misprinted, or a name spelled differently from the proof you approved — send a photo and we remake it at no cost. Because each mat is made for one dog, we cannot take returns for a change of mind or for a name you approved and later wanted different.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/9513/1686/files/sipengrave-custom-dog-name-dachshund-doormat-thanksgiving-real-dachshund.png?v=1791166670
